Local Branch NACCP Eugene/Springfield Chapter 1119
Eric,
I find myself in a moment to say, It is a hard thing, this
hate. It is hard seeing someone we love treated wrong, don't matter who they
are, But it hits home and there is no one, no one, in the moment that you are
supposed to be "Safe". We talk about the Summer of Justice a fine
thing. We talk about numbers, why can't we just pull back the covers and say
what it is. Most people here, are very wary, of change, and hate has begun
strong in pockets, in Police, on the streets, on Face book, it has become a breeding
ground of hate as 'brothers turn against brothers', (Sound familiar?)
I am Afro-American,
paper, looks so forth, sir and ladies NOT! I grew up so white, a mixed man
"The only boy hanging out with some serious straight hard "Brother's
M.C., and just "Good Old Boys", Gentlemen of standing in Springfield,
most them white. Is what it is, a good brother, a good man it doesn't matter
what color. The kids will fix that as they always do, and the moms. I have a surety
of that for I have seen it, it is a social entropy state that will happen.
"Kids way smarter than us, they just want to play and learn.. " so
says Street Uncle THOR.
Men who have come at
me with weapons taught hate, and found a man. No hate, a Biker named THOR, and
I wind up being friends with them."
I am saying, "A Dream can Change Everything" (That
is for the Lady; for, I to was young the 1st time, My first time having
all it torn away by police violence. #BornSuspect Jan 13, 1990, again Jan 10,
2015, Stay busy, talk to who you need to, one person, but talk..)
Idea's Like Selma Movie, that Oprah Winfrey created well let's
say the flood gates are open to possibilities.
You see my father Marched that day, and that day, in just a
few moments, I was able to tell the world from my memory, what happened, what
really is able to be accomplished when we work together.
>.. A look for us not forgetting and being able to
inspire with words of ethos, of truth tested. ...
Cover, in color
#SELMA Selma Movie #SELMA50 ... front cover mission magazine
1965, Selma in Color on cover. I saw it long ago, Dad showed it to me.. My
father was a Marcher, he was not there to be a safe white journalist. He went
because it was right. He went not knowing if they would beat or kill him. This
point is very important, because as a Marcher those 50 miles could you imagine
what he felt like, Amen. shh he hates it when I tape him.. Chef John "The
Ghetto Gourmet" The fact later he used his voice to tell the world, not
the point, Kings Point, BUT today. NOT the point. today it is an American
Point. We did this as Americans standing for our beliefs, ready to die for what
is right, "For too long good men have stood idly by as ..." M. L.
King https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuwyBfE8hjA o The movie was incorrect in
one part, as I recall from the picture in the front cover. The police were NOT
at the END of the bridge & NIETHER were the Marchers. They were feet apart,
feet apart. A picture of crossed arms, and all sorts of faiths, sisters,
fathers, orthodox, Jewish, Baptist, catholic, Methodist, the white ethos of
America woke and walked right to the line of fire. The pic with the men in blue
shirts white and blue helmets, all the Police. It was line of people against
VIOLENCE HATE, Then something happened, I don't know what but to think humanity
touched that moment and the Police moved, Yes with the singing the fear the
guns and dogs, the screamers. That why this is so important. Young people
listen, white where there, Italians were there, Irish were there, Polish,
German, Negro, AMERICA heard the call and came. My father one from a long way
away not to be safe journalist, a safe White Journalist, he heard King's call
chartered a plane and came.... "That's what we can do." }
(P.s I will always be standing with a bunch of poor whites
mostly over here in Springfield, Oregon,or Eugene. Hope Community Child Center
& Church) Oregon is where I have been 20 years, from Washington D.C... you
really have a nice group of Afro-American men here, honestly. You see the smart
ones want away from the violence of the big cities and want to raise their kids
in Peace")
