Question
KMTR News 16 Eugene Oregon: What should be done with the homeless campers
YES!
Deal with the fact that it is a reality, Homeless campers, then move from
there. Martin Luther King out lined 4 parts to any non-violent action in his
letter from BirmingHam Jail. 1. recognizing some form of injustice or social
need is apparent. 2. Attempt at communication and negotiation. 3. the Purifying
of those involved, Meaning people gather and are willing to allow violence
against them to make there point on a social level. (As in Kings marches,
freedom riders, occupy) 4. Action. (The action here being camping on city
property, the violence is police action, the negotiation speaking with city)

To
all you people who say put them to work or they should be like everybody else
and support themselves, well you have no idea why they are there. Shut Up!
Listen Please Okay I got your attention. Yes put them to work, Give them
skills, Give them dignity, Give them a way to get a home, by you helping us
helping them. Many of them are so mentally ill, unable to read, been homeless
since they were kids from addict homes, they are addicts, or just plain gave up
on life when their lover/wife/husband child died, and the list goes on forever.
Learn to recognize suffering. This is no easy thing to do, In fact it is very
hard, compassion, charity, understanding. I thank you for listening. THOR

Arthur Ernst shared Kitty Piercy's status update.
In a
wonderful afternoon of sunshine, Opportunity
Village opened up
officially with an open house. They had a lot to show for their hard labor:
conestoga huts, micro houses, a partially completed tool shed, soon to be ready
showers, and lots of good food and friends.
What can I say that I have not said. We are just learning to walk. Soon the people in these new houses will begin on new lives, we shall see more or this inspiration, of humanity, the "American Army" consists of those who are helping and those being helped. It is not occupy, it is pure action with and "End Game" result. A better community, so many lives 50, 60, 70 names would be read every Dec 21. If we can change that, if we can change the way we all look at an issue not as a problem but a possibility. Well there is not telling what is coming next; for it seems the best minds have come together and seen, the future here tested and proved elsewhere in America. That this community change will be positive and will boost the whole community, an "American Army" of love given and received, is powerful thing, more powerful than an idea. It is unquenchable fire, an unstoppable truth, a force more powerful than, well it is the giant awoken again.

I am glad a few minds shall we say are getting in the spirit. I say that to the U of O students. I am a Lane Community College graduate, HEY! Okay if I caught your attention. I would like to see you guys think outside the box on this, (or in the box as in card board.) What is just laying around, large enough to stand/ live a man, couple in, and where are they at, Is it a grave yard of dead school bus husks, or trailers, box containers, tanks that could take one cut down the middle, reinforced, be roofed and set into living space using the strength of an already existing free product laying around Eugene & Springfield. Imagine it was a Emergency to motivate the mind. Chef John aka THOR
